I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
